It was the last week of school. There are no school for all students... except... you guessed it: Us the lower sixers!! Urgh!! But I kinda liked it... it was like the whole school compound belonged to us... or something like that... =)
That's fine if we were to come back and study but the real funny thing was that many of our teachers they did not turn up to teach us... I was walking into the staff room one day and all I saw was hugh blue plastic bags stacked on almost each and every teacher's table... except I think a few of the teachers who have not finish packing yet. It was so dark in a way...
As the title suggests, the only thing that I could remember that we were doing for the last week was playing cards.... 'chor dai dee'.... haha!! And there are no prefects also... (even if there are I think the class don't really care also... =)
Which was really surprising, considering the fact that we are going to sit for one of the toughest public examinations in the world... the following year. Hmm...

U6F Deepavali Trip - 21st October 2006
This trip has been talked about for quite some time before the actual day...
So, what really happened was.... (Let me refer to this Programme Sheet prepared for the class by Ben...)
Ha!! Don't need to write anything. Will scan and put it in on the blog... =)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All of us were waiting for Ms Leela to come and bring us to her apartment. Were directed to her sister's house.... and then as soon as everyone has entered...
"Vanakkam (I think this is how you spell...)!!" we greeted Ms Leela and her family together. And later we were treated to a scrumptious Indian brunch... Yummy!
"Miss Leela, I want to ask one question: Why do we celebrate Deepavali?" I think it was ZJ who asked Miss Leela.
"It signifies the victory of the good over the evil... (or something like that...)" Miss Leela replied.
Everyone clapped. (I remembered... but then again why is everyone clapping if they already knew the answer?)
The TV was on. It was screening a Tamil movie...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Later we adjourned to Sunway Pyramid. Watched John Tucker Must Die.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next stop was Mr. Shan's house. Again we greeted him and his family loudly (but politely of course...) Were treated to a delicious (and very-very spicy) dinner by his family. (Really REALLY spicy... I remember I was sweating... =) ) But it was really really good.
Later that night, we all sat on the ground, and then can't remember talked about what already.. And then Mr. Shan joined us....
"How was our PA paper?" (We had our exam the week before our visit...)
"Where were you born?"
"When is your birthday?" (His birthday was... I can't remember a few days before or after... but anyway we sang our lungs out a birthday song for him =) )
Lots of questions lah... and I think he asked some questions to us...
Later we walked over to PY's house, and then ZJ dropped me off at the bus stop in front of Sunway Pyramid. It was one heck of a visit!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Can't find any photos on the trip... =(

Visit to Planetarium - 18th November 2006
Oh dear.... this one was really embarassing... (Tell me guys you all forgot all about it...)
It was our visit to the planetarium organized by the Science and Maths Society. Everyone gathered at the school front.... CH explained in front of all the participants about what were we going to do... That was when CH passed his bag for me to keep...
Then we all went outside and into the bus... I was bringing along his bag with me on... not knowing that he will not be coming in also!! (why did I keep the bag for so long ah?...)
So, the bus had to turn back after a long journey out (until the Roundabout after the SAS school, which now of course has been turned into a traffic light junction...), just for me to give back his bag...
I know, I know... Sorry...=S

Han and Joel's Birthday Party - 14th November 2006
"Attention class..." ~Joel
"Both of us have an announcement to make..." ~HC
Joel and HC stood in front of the class and announced about they will be holding a party to celebrate their birthday... and that they are inviting us to come. 'Surprisingly or unsuprisingly', the date was set on a weekday...
"What classes do we have in the mornings the next day?..." ~sounds from the class. Obviously that was one of the questions which also ran around in my mind.
(Btw, 'surprisingly or unsurprisingly': 'surprisingly' because they really chose a weekday to celebrate, 'unsurprisingly' considering... you know Joel and HC they all la choosing that date!! =)
So, at around six I arrived in school, and with YK, PZ, YY, and ZJ we went to the petrol station where the others have been waiting. (Arrived to see that everyone was waiting for our car... and I was the last!!!)
Dinner was at the open air restaurant. HC and Joel brought along some of their friends. I, had a great time with everyone. Didn't drink though... Guessed it was still early for me to drink.
Later went to HC's apartment. Everyone was like drinking and drinking the whole night. Me including. The next day when I went back to school there was news that VP actually got too drunk that he kinda like....
"Vomited and 'swimming' (??)"
Don't know about it la... that's what I heard...
Anyway it was still early when I arrived home. But could not sleep early and was dizzy just everyone else who get drunk on that night... haha...

Golden Jubilee Celebration Concert - 4th November 2006
It was one heck of a concert, I tell ya! And I have never been so proud of my CHS before.
The concert was held at the school hall. We arrived early and were given the Sixth Form Society T-shirt to be worn throughout the night (could still remember we had to return them the following Monday for what they called... printing error... dunno la..) Treated with a meal courtesy of the people at our canteen. Then ZJ gave instructions to us on our duties as 'ushers' for the night...
"Those with or without tickets... just let all of them in..." I could still recall him saying.
I should have called my cousin who was performing with the PMO on that night, and asked her to bring her whole family to come... Nvm...I didn't realize about it until it was over...
It was almost time... and parents and VIPs alike filled the halls right to the brim. The concert began...
(I forgotten what happened during the night...)
Whenever there's a performance, the lights went down, we lit our handphones lights out, and raised our hands up in the air and waved.... We (well, I, at least) had so much fun... (Too bad we were right at the back, the others could see us...) For some of the songs that we knew, we sang our lungs out... causing those spectators at the back to 'stare' at us... =)
The concert ended and we lined up at the entrance sending the guests off. That was again a funny part. =)
Aih.. CHS should have captured the whole show in DVD and then sell them... I would be the first to buy it...

Audition for CHS Golden Jubilee Celebration Concert
"This is like very small... not enough people... should have more people..." ~Pn. Tan about our first round of audition.
"The dance was just too much.... too many people... and the dancing was not uniform... a couple of you didn't follow the others..." ~ Pn. Tan about our second round of audition, which we performed after passing the first.
It was our auditions for CHS 50th Anniversary concert which was being held in the school hall. And we didn't qualify for it.
But my point is that during the first audition she told us the number was too small, but later she told us that the number was too big...
Hmm... something to think about??

First Time Tuition for Almost 6 Years - 2nd October 2006
"Hey, does your Physics tuition still take in students ah?" I asked Ben.
"Hey, can I squeeze in into your can also later to tuition? Got space or not?" I asked CH.
"Wah... welcome to our group! Welcome!" WK said.
"What group? No lah... what is this? Some elite group meh?" I replied.
For some of them who goes to tuition, they only knew about me joining them on that very same day. I followed them to CH's car and crammed ourselves into it. Eunice was the one driving at that time...
"Got feel dizzy or not?" someone asked me.
"Nope. Why?" I replied. "Anyway, I have not started learning how to drive yet."
The others in the car were shocked... Must be thinking how come so long still have not started learning to drive...
If my memory serves me right, a few of us took turns to park the car into the space next to the road. I just stood there only... helplessly (and at the same time laughing inside) watching them trying to 'fit the car in'...
While walking down the streets of KL, I at some point just stood at a place and raise my head to watch the buildings... the hustle and bustle of the streets...
"The first time you ever stepped into KL?" CH asked.
"Yeap. Well, KL Town Centre... all these while has been only in PJ..." I told him. Guess I 'overreacted' when I was looking at the atmosphere... CH was telling everyone that a PJ boy like me have never been to a place 'so big' as KL town centre...
We had lunch inside some 'Cao Mei' Restaurant. It was a restaurant with a 'dark' atmosphere... Honestly I wasn't feel good eating in such an atmosphere... I was shocked to know that there are such restaurants 'existing' in KL...
The two hours before our class starts was about walking around KL... Luckily for a couple of weeks later we began to be serious, and the time was spent on studying and doing revision instead.
As a person who have not been into a big-size tuition class before, the scene at the tuition centre was really a 'frightening' one to me.. haha... I mean, it was like some university lecture of something... (even though Ben told me about how the tuition were conducted beforehand).
Anyway, I really liked the tuition... (Professionally speaking, the tuition was of great help for my Physics... ) I was able to continue it until the last class of the year on Oct 31... (Ha, still remember the date also...)

Sixth Form Society Orientation - 18 August 2006
"Hey, Sixth Form Society is going to have an orientation... every class needs to present a performance... how do you guys want to do it? Does everyone of you want to join in or only a few of you... " ~Eunice making an announcement in the class.
The news of the performance was already made known for a while for certain people... News was that they were initially planning for a song called "Breaking Free" from the HSM soundtrack. Later it was changed to "We're All in This Together" due to some reasons...
The number of people who stayed back for the performance was encouraging.
"Sheng Hung, do you want to join?" I forgotten who but someone asked me.
"Yeah," I said. "Why not?" I immediately called and informed my parents that I am not coming back for lunch.
The practices were held for a whole week, everyday after school. Immediately after the final period the tables and chairs were rearranged. Some of us were seen packing lunch from the canteen and bringing them into the classroom.
We practiced dancing to the tune of the song which was downloaded into CH's phone. YK would be studying and doing some maths things in the classroom. ST's brother would sit at the back for the classroom watching the whole 'thing'...
On performance day...
"Hey guys... five minutes more..." ~Zhi Jian told us the performers to get ready. At that time we were all already dressed up in red T-shirts and long pants... Moments later we entered the Dewan Kuliah...
The music started playing.
The video clip started rolling.
The performance was on. And man did we rocked the house...
(Btw... go and find out where did you put the performance CD...)

First Day in Class - 17th May 2006
In the Dewan Kuliah:
"Those who have chosen to enter Physics class and whose names are listed here on the screen please follow Pn. Jeya to your classroom..." ~teacher-in-charge
Minutes later, we were all gathering in front of the classroom which was located next to the Kedai Koperasi. Waited for a while before we managed to enter the room..
Discussions was about how to arrange the tables and chairs...
"Let's arrange the tables into two rows... in pairs facing each other..." ~Someone
"I know, let's put the six girls in the middle... " ~ZY
The boys began work on the arranging of tables and chairs... obviously just playing a fool with the arrangement as it was proven not to work later... Our form teacher, Pn. Jeya later entered the classroom while this was happening...
"Arrange the tables and chairs properly." she told us.
